Made only from hand-gathered Wild Piñon and pure Olive Oil, and melted over the course of many moons beside the low-burning heat of the wood stove, the contents of this unassuming bottle evoke visions of idyll afternoons spent fireside, the familiar feeling of pulling on a perfectly worn and well-loved leather jacket, and the distant memory of snowflakes alighting gently and melting on your upturned smile. Notes of pine and woodsmoke, ice, earth, and leather characterize this unisex fragrance that is certain to incite the magik of Winter no matter what the Season.

A Bundle of Sacred Juniper from this Land travels everywhere with me and is my favorite gift to offer to others for just about every occasion. I use it to ground and find stillness before teaching and during every session to bless the space and honor the person with whom I am sitting. Burn this Juniper bundle to lighten and renew yourself--Body, Mind, and Spirit. Use it to purify cleanse your home or altar. Call upon its sweet scent to invite all things good sacred into your world. As each plume of smoke rises skyward, infuse it with your heartfelt prayers and intentions. Give Thanks.

Datura flower essence helps us to “give death” to those things in our life or those parts of our psyche which are long overdue for dismissal. Sometimes letting go and “giving death” is truly the most compassionate and loving thing we can do for these parts of our lives and ourselves. It is only through freeing up our energy in this way that we can breathe new life into creative pursuits which have lain abandoned for too long, to nourish ourselves fully once more, and to engage with those relationships which provide real nourishment. She reminds us that death and endings provide the space and nourishment needed for new life, new beginnings. She helps us to let go, at long last, of those things which we've clung to for far too long, which it is now time to lay to rest.
Like all powerful beings, Datura deserves and commands total respect and reverence. I strongly discourage anyone from ingesting her medicine in its physical form unless it is a part of their culture's spiritual tradition and they are properly ceremonially prepared to do so. Flower Essences, such as this, however are totally safe ways to invoke and learn from such potent teachers, as Datura. This vibrational remedy contains no constituents of the plant, only the fierce wisdom and storied presence of her blossom.

This essence offers a reminder of the sacred thread which weaves its way through all life. It helpful for overcoming feelings of isolation, disconnection, and emotional numbness brought about by lack of connection with nature, community, ceremony, song. Made in ceremony at the base of the hillside where we journey each year to gather Ocotillo + druzy quartz, this medicine is meant to be used in a sacred way – to honor the ancestors who walked this Land long before us. It is a medicine for inviting their wisdom to be lived through you – for remembering how to create small ceremonies in your daily life, for rediscovering ritual in even the simplest of acts. This essence is the desert herself, the Corn Mother, personified. Piercing sunlight and silty earth beneath bare feet, she knows what is essential and makes room for little else. There is an unmistakable grace in her spare landscape, a divine and other-worldly quality that fills the spaces where little exists in this realm. This essence reminds you that you to are like a desert, and that what is most important, is often not visible to the naked eye. Take this essence each morning with the rising sun. Create space to sit with her at dawn and at dusk. It is these in between places which reveal to us what is most important, what is most real. It is in these in between places, where we come to remember.

You are enough. You have enough. There is nowhere to go, nothing to do, no one to be. Prickly Pear Elixir reminds us of this. Her sweet fruit provides nourishment to the deepest parts of the Self and allows us to find sustenance in places where it once seemed absent. A drop or a dropperful of her medicine offers support for those who wish to release habits of eating which do not truly feed them or who otherwise look outward for change, when the real shift that is required must come from within. Prickly Pear is a useful remedy for collectors—of things, people, accomplishments; for anyone who always desires that which is just beyond reach rather than enjoying the abundance which they already possess. This elixir reconnects one with softness, receptivity, and a gentle awareness of the delicate dance that is Life. Use in the moment, to subside cravings for those things which do not truly satisfy your body or your heart, pausing to taste her sweet kiss upon your lips and allowing the goodness of the moment to fill you.

Miracles are possible, probable, inevitable, even, if we believe it to be so. Often a journey is necessary – in the outer world as well as in the inner realm to procure such a miracle. The Santuario de Chimayo, where a single pinch of Holy Earth + Holy Wild Water from stream were gathered with sacred permission for this preparation, is an ancient site of pilgrimage. People journey from far far away, to experience the healing power of this powerful place. Set in the spare landscape of the high desert, it is an oasis of cottonwood and dappled sunlight beside a creek which flows steady and clear the season long. The chapel itself holds the memory of countless tears shed in earnest and through it flows, a wide river of heartfelt prayers – all for healing – many of them answered, now. Each time you call upon this mist to bless yourself and your space, pause to reawaken the possibility of miracles in your own life. Whatever it is that your Soul most longs for – whatever it is that feels just shy of a miracle – call upon this vision from within, and ask that it be so as you mist the space in front of you, and step into the cascade of sacred waters. This vibrational remedy also serves a mobile space of safety, quietude, and contemplative reflection. Use it before meditation, bless your bath with a quick spritz of its waters, make a practice of anointing a specific part of your body which calls for extra protection + blessing. But most importantly, listen to whatever personal rituals arise for its use – for remember, that it is not important how we pray, only that we do so from a place of sincerity within ourselves.

Like rain in the desert, this potent soak is unequaled for cleansing the body + the spirit. Run a bath, not too hot, and using a spoon or your hands, scrape a small quantity of the chaparral-soaked salt from the jar. We recommend about a teaspoon added to a bath. Channel your inner crone and wise woman as you add the salts + herbs to the water and stir them in, counter clockwise. Meditate upon what it is in your life that is overdue for death, overdue for release, for cutting away. Soak in darkness or by dim candlelight. Ask the Bone Mother to reveal to you, what it is that it is time to let go of at long last. Trust that her answer may come to you in a language without words. Follow bath with a warm but not hot shower, rinsing salts off your body completely. Towel dry, vigorously, smudge yourself and your bathroom with Juniper or another sweet smoke which pleases your sensibilities. Repeat soak for three consecutive nights, using the salts up between the three baths. Pay attention to your dreaming.

Blue Cornmeal and mineral-rich piloncillo are blended with sacred earth, jojoba oil, and wildcrafted desert globe mallow to create a scrub that is simple and soothing, nutritive and deeply renewing. Use two to four times weekly to exfoliate, cleanse, nourish, and protect your precious skin. Apply to skin, dampened by a warm and wet washcloth and massage in gentle circles, washing away the troubles of the day, the accumulated worry of the world. Allow yourself to be, for a moment, as soft as your skin.
